Handwriting

Many young children have difficulties learning to write neatly and efficiently. Some children have mild difficulties other have more severe problems with dysgraphia. There can be numerous causes for handwriting problems which can be addressed by an Occupational Therapy Program including
- fine or gross motor skills problems
- developmental delay
- cognitive problems
- learning problems
- behavioural problems
- language problems
- sensory processing problems
- low muscle tone
- auditory processing problems
- visual processing problems
- anxiety
- and more.
The first step is assessment to work out what factors may be contributing to your child’s difficulties. Then Therapy 4 Learning will work with you and the school to put in place strategies to improve your child’s handwriting.
